Melrose Man Injured In Snowmobile Accident

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — A 50-year-old man was injured after being thrown from his snowmobile near Freeport on Saturday.

The Stearns County Sheriff’s Office said the accident happened around 3:15 p.m. on Lake Maria.

Freeport Rescue and Melrose Ambulance were also dispatched to the scene.

Glenn Lawrence Hinnenkamp, of Melrose, was riding a 1999 Yamaha snowmobile when he hit a snow bank and was ejected.

He was treated at the scene for a lower left leg injury and later transported to Melrose Hospital by ambulance.
