MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A St. Paul woman has pleaded guilty to fatally running over her boyfriend in January.
Arlene Garcia, 54, pleaded guilty Monday to one count of criminal vehicular homicide.
Officers arrested her on Jan. 30, 2013, after finding her boyfriend, Mark Leroy Urang, unresponsive in the middle of Wells Street. Emergency crews brought him to Regions Hospital, where he died the next day.
Garcia had been drinking and arguing with Urang before he was run over, police said.
She was initially charged with two counts of criminal vehicular homicide.
Garcia is slated to be sentenced on April 25.
