BEMIDJI, Minn. (AP) — Adam Wilcox made 23 save and Erik Haula had a goal and two assists Saturday as Minnesota beat Bemidji State 4-3 to earn a share of the MacNaughton Cup.
The Cup goes to the Western Collegiate Hockey Association regular season champion. The Gophers’ win and St. Cloud State’s loss created a two-way tie.
Minnesota will have the second seed for the WCHA playoffs.
Jake Parenteau, Nick Bjugstad and Christian Isackson added a goal and assist for the second-ranked Gophers (24-7-5, 16-7-5), who will have the second seed in the upcoming playoffs.
Matt Prapavessis had a goal for Bemidji State (6-20-8, 5-16-7), which goal 35 saves from Mathieu Dugas.
