Upper 30’s, Partly cloudy skies, and a but of north wind for Twins Home Opener on Monday…It’ll be a beautiful day for a ball game…if your a penquin!
The coldest home opener for the Twins was in 1962 when it was 33 degrees at gametime with flurries when the Angels beat the Twins 12 to 3. The coldest outdoor home game ever was against the Yankees on May 2, 1967 when it was 32 degrees at game time with windcill of 9 above! The warmest Twins home opener was 89 degrees on April 22, 1980 when it was 89 degrees as the Twins beat the Angels 8 to 1 ! Mike Lynch
