MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Authorities say an 18-year-old from Watson was killed and three others suffered serious injuries in a two-vehicle crash Sunday afternoon in western Minnesota.

The Minnesota State Patrol responded to the crash at about 3:50 p.m. on Highway 29 just north of Montevideo in Chippewa County. When authorities arrived, a 2000 Ford Ranger was headed southbound on County Road 13 when it entered the intersection at Highway 29 and broadsided a 2012 GMC Sierra.

A passenger in the Ford Ranger was pronounced dead at the scene. The victim was identified by authorities as Arian Q. Mitlyng. An 18-year-old driving the Ford Ranger, a 4-year-old in the Ford Ranger and a 51-year-old man driving the GMC Sierra all suffered serious injuries.

The Minnesota State Patrol is still investigating what led up to the crash.
