Saturn Kisses the Full Moon!

Mike Lynch says that all through the night tonight they’ll be a bright star next to the full moon. It’s no star but the planet Saturn at its closest approach to Earth for 2013. It’s still over 800 million miles away from Earth but despite that so you should be able to resolve Saturn’s ring system through even a small telescope or even a decent pair of binoculars.
