MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — The body of a deceased man has been recovered from the Mississippi River near Washington Avenue Bridge in Minneapolis Tuesday morning, according to the Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office.

The body was recovered at approximately 8 a.m.

The Hennepin County Medical Examiner is determining the cause/manner of death and will identify the individual.

The Sheriff’s Office says the body does not belong to the person who was seen jumping into the Mississippi Monday afternoon from the Third Avenue Bridge. The search for that individual is still continuing.

The Sheriff’s Office is investigating both cases.
