UPDATE: The father and his daughter have both been found safe.

BLOOMINGTON, Minn. (WCCO) – A crime alert has been issued after a father disappeared Saturday night with his 7-year-old daughter with special needs.

Bloomington Police are looking for Alyssa Mariel-Lorraine Lafountain, who is traveling to an unknown location with her father, David Charles Lafountain.

Alyssa is a white female, 4-feet-5-inches tall, and weighs 42 pounds. She has brown hair and hazel eyes.

David Charles Lafountain is driving a teal 2007 Chrysler Town and Country minivan with Minnesota license plate number 789LKP, or a prior-issued Vermont license plate with the number FFL711.

Family members and police are worried about Lafountain’s ability to care for his daughter, as Alyssa uses a feeding tube and is on a specific diet due to food allergies.

There is no probable cause to arrest Lafountain at the moment.

If you have any information please contact your local police, or call the Bloomington Police Department at 952-563-4900.
