ST. CLOUD, Minn. (WCCO) – St. Cloud Police blocked off a street late Saturday afternoon due to a suspicious package which was later found to be a pipe bomb.

According to St. Cloud Police Sgt. Jason Burke, the Crow Wing County Bomb Squad detonated the bomb near Division and First Streets.

A man initally spotted what he told police was a heavy, white object that had a fuse.

The area is now deemed safe, and traffic has returned to normal.

Burke added that no one was injured in the incident, and police are asking for the public’s help in the investigation.
