State Patrol: Cloquet Woman Killed In North Branch Crash
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Authorities said a 54-year-old Cloquet woman was killed in a single-vehicle Wednesday night in North Branch that also left two others hurt.
The Minnesota State Patrol responded to the crash at about 7:07 p.m. on Interstate 35 at County Road 17 in North Branch. When authorities arrived, a 2004 Chevy 2500 pick-up was headed southbound on I-35 when it lost control, over-corrected and rolled into the center median.
Authorities said a rear passenger was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene. The victim was later identified as Julie A. Koen of Cloquet. The driver of the pick-up, a 16-year-old girl, and a 47-year-old male passenger suffered non-life threatening injuries.
The Minnesota State Patrol assisted the Chisago County Sheriff's Office at the scene.
