Want Your School At 'We Day'? Get Involved Now

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- If you would like your school to get involved in We Day, now is the time.

We Day Minnesota will bring together 18,000 young people and some big-name celebrities in October to celebrate the power to create a positive change locally and globally.

To get involved, your school has to sign up. It can be a principal or teacher who is taking charge of a group of students.

You can't buy a ticket to We Day on October 8. You can only earn it through service. The students must commit to completing one local and one global action during the year.

Parents and teachers have until May 31 to sign up. More information is available here.

Angela Davis talked with We Day director David Stillman and Minnesota's Commissioner of Education Dr. Brenda Cassellius on Monday morning. You can see that interview above.
