MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — A Lino Lakes police officer died after collapsing at a bar and grill in Hugo, Minn. early Sunday morning.

At 2:18 a.m., the Washington County Sheriff’s Office responded to a medical call at the Blue Heron Bar & Grill, located at 14725 Victor Hugo Blvd. N.

There, Sgt. Chris Bragelman, 37, of North Branch was found unresponsive and CPR was performed, but he was pronounced dead on scene.

There was no obvious cause of death.

The Lino Lakes Police Department’s Chief John Swenson released a statement Sunday evening, saying Bragelman “was a crucial part of the Lino Lakes Police Department and he will be missed by all. Please keep Chris’s family and friends in your thoughts and prayers.”

The incident is being investigating.
