MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) —  Just in time for the busy holiday travel weekend, Minnesota is getting some new state troopers.

Forty two new state troopers cadets are graduating Thursday after four months of training at Camp Ripley. State Patrol Lieutenant Eric Roeske said they come from diverse backgrounds.

Roeske said the new troopers will train in the field with veteran troopers for 16 weeks before going solo.
