Matula Search Picks Up Near Mississippi River

EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (WCCO) -- More than three weeks after an Eden Prairie woman disappeared, friends and family will pick up the search again and look along the Mississippi River in the town of Rice, and then again in the Eden Prairie area.

Mandy Matula, 24, was last seen on May 1.

She had been arguing with a former boyfriend, David Roe. Roe shot himself the next day in the parking lot of the Eden Prairie police department after authorities had asked him to come in to talk about Matula's disappearance.

Matula's brother said he's encouraged by their support.

"If I didn't have the support of these people I don't know where I'd be right now," Steven said.

On June 3, there will be a fundraiser at a bowling center where Mandy used to work.
