MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – The Target Center in downtown Minneapolis will be a busy place Tuesday and Wednesday as the Minnesota Timberwolves will be working out prospects for the NBA Draft.
The Timberwolves currently have the No. 9 pick and the No. 26 pick in the first round of the draft and also have a second round choice. The NBA Draft will be held in June. The team will have 24 players come in and workout over the two days and make evaluations on the players they might add to the roster at the draft.
There will be plenty of local flavor as former Gophers forward Rodney Williams is one of the players who has been invited. Princeton native and Wisconsin post Jared Berggren will also participate.
There’s a total of four groups working out over two days. The first group is from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Tuesday and the second is from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The Wednesday workouts are from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. and from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
