MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Authorities said a 63-year-old Elk River woman was killed in a crash involving a motorcycle Saturday afternoon in Brooklyn Park.

The Hennepin County Medical Examiner identified the victim Monday as Louise J. Moyer.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, the crash happened at about 12:55 p.m. Saturday on Highway 169 at 63rd Avenue. When authorities arrived, a 2012 Ford Super Duty was stopped in traffic and a 1995 Harley Davidson motorcycle tried to avoiding hitting it when it clipped the rear of the truck.

Authorities said the driver of the truck was not hurt, the driver of the motorcycle suffered non-life threatening injuries and the driver of a third car, Moyer, was pronounced dead at the scene. The medical examiner said Boyer died of a blunt force chest injury in the crash.

The crash is still under investigation by Brooklyn Park and Maple Grove Police with assistance from the Minnesota State Patrol.
