Gopher Football Announces 2015 Big 10 Schedule

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – The University of Minnesota football program announced its Big Ten football schedule for 2015 Monday morning.

The Gophers will have Big Ten Conference home games against Nebraska, Michigan, Illinois and Wisconsin. They'll travel to face Northwestern, Purdue, Ohio State and Iowa. Minnesota will open the Big Ten Conference schedule Oct. 3 at Northwestern and the following week at Purdue.

The Gophers will open the season hosting TCU on Sept. 3 and will also have non-conference home games against Kent State and Ohio University.

The Big Ten announced Minnesota's 2014 conference schedule last month. They'll open conference play at Michigan before hosting Northwestern. The Gophers other Big Ten home games are Purdue, Iowa and Ohio State. They'll travel to face Michigan, Illinois, Nebraska and Wisconsin.

Minnesota opens the 2014 season at home against Eastern Illinois.

Coming off a 6-6 regular season and a loss to Texas Tech in the Meineke Car Care Bowl, the Gophers will open the 2013 regular season hosting UNL on Aug. 29 at TCF Bank Stadium.
