MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Authorities in Grand Rapids, Minn., believe a body found in the city limits belongs to a 53-year-old man who went missing last month.

William Russell Martin was last seen on May 20. The Grand Rapids Police Department said an investigation led them to believe Martin’s body was recovered Monday.

However, police are still waiting for the St. Louis County Medical Examiner’s Office to positively identify the body.

A cause of death will be provided once an autopsy is complete.

The city of Grand Rapids is about 80 miles northwest of Duluth.
