Man, 32, Pulled From Isanti County Lake In Drowning

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Authorities said a man drowned in a lake north of the Twin Cities early Sunday morning after falling out of a boat, according to the Isanti County Sheriff's Office.

First responders and a dive team were called to Long Lake in Isanti County at about 3:15 a.m. Sunday after man called saying he was in a boat with a friend who had fallen overboard and not come up. Crews searched for several hours until it eventually turned into a recovery mission.

About six hours later, divers used sonar equipment to find the body in about eight feet of water at around 9 a.m. Sunday. The victim was identified as Dylan James Dusabek of Isanti. Authorities said it doesn't appear that anyone in the boat, including the victim, was wearing life jackets.

The Isanti County Sheriff's Office said it doesn't know if alcohol or drugs played a factor in the incident, but they are performing toxicology reports as part of the investigation.
