MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A 66-year-old man from Montevideo died Sunday after an accident involving a personal watercraft in western Minnesota, authorities said.

The Kandiyohi County Sheriff’s Office responded to the accident at about 3:26 p.m. Sunday on the north side of Norway Lake. When authorities arrived, the man had been operating a personal watercraft on the lake when he was tipped. The man collapsed near the shore and stopped breathing.

Authorities said when they found the man, CPR was being performed on him. He was later transported to Rice Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The victim’s name has not yet been released and the accident is still under investigation.
