The Do's And Don'ts Of Biking In A Group
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Riding a bike is a great way to stay active and get outdoors. And rather than riding solo, many are cycling in groups of five to 20 people.
But riding in a group is not as easy as hopping in the saddle and taking off with your fellow bikers. So the WCCO Morning Team met up with Erik the Bike Man to get a lesson on how to bike in a group.
Erik said first and foremost, bicyclists need to obey the rules of the road the same as vehicles do. When you're riding in a group, make sure you're communicating with the other riders. He said one of the advantages to riding in a group is that it's more efficient for the riders. It's fun to get out and experience the camaraderie of riding and working together.
