No Shoes Needed For Hottest Ticket In Town

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The baseball diamond at Target Field is gone and in its place is a stage for Friday night's Kenny Chesney concert.

It's the second time the country singer has chosen Target Field as a stop on his summer concert tour, performing last year with Tim McGraw to a sold-out crowd.

The No Shoes Nation Tour stop in Minnesota sold out in just 10 minutes, that's more than 40,000 seats.

Ask country music fans about Chesney you tend to get the same answer – that he's No. 1.

Combine his star power with the outdoor venue of Target Field, and it's an event so big it's enough to take an Irish bar go country.

Kieran's Pub played host to country music fans from around the state on Friday.

The lucky ones even getting VIP passes -- Carolyn Enstad Mary Hewitt and Trudi Juhnke drove 3.5 hours to see Chesney live.

But few are more excited than Trish Schlicht and Tory Matuszack of Wisconsin as they won front row seats through BUZ'N 102.9.

Also performing is the Zac Brown Band, The Eli Young Band and Kasey Musgraves.
