MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A 35-year-old woman was seriously hurt Sunday night in a crash on Interstate 35 in Burnsville, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

Authorities responded to the crash at about 9:32 p.m. on I-35 at Crystal Lake Road. When authorities arrived, a 2004 Toyota Camry was heading southbound on I-35 in the right lane when it switched lanes to avoid slower traffic, corrected to the right and the driver lost control.

The State Patrol said the vehicle went into the ditch, down a grass embankment and hit a tree. The driver of the vehicle was seriously hurt, and there’s been no further updates on her condition.

The Minnesota State Patrol is investigating the crash with assistance from the Burnsville Police Department.
