Isanti County Sheriff: Help ID Suspects Who Stole $35K Worth Of Equipment

CAMBRIDGE, Minn. (WCCO) – Police said thieves knew exactly what they were doing when they made off with $35,000 worth of lawn equipment.

In the surveillance video, you can see criminals dressed in camouflage and wearing face masks pulling up in a pick-up and then leaving Crawford Equipment in Cambridge, Minn., with a stolen trailer, loaded with expensive lawn mowers.

The owner now needs the public's help in catching the thieves.

"One of my employees had pulled in at approximately 30 seconds after they pulled out," Brian Crawford said.

On July 29, the two suspects' work was done in less than 30 minutes.

"They are wearing suits that you would normally use for turkey hunting," Crawford said. "So they're all camo'd out, with face masks on."

The suspects blocked the infrared cameras in order to nab a trailer already loaded with lawn mowers.

Each of the Exmark Lazer lawn mowers sell for $10,000.

"If we get the public's help, we'll be able to catch these criminals, we really will," Crawford said.

Authorities said the Chevy truck in the video has damage to the driver side. If you have any information that leads to the criminals' arrest, there's a $2,000 reward.

Call the Isanti County Sheriff's Office at 763-691-2426 with any tips.
