MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Authorities in South St. Paul said early Wednesday morning that an 8-year-old boy who went missing Tuesday night has been found safe.

South St. Paul Police responded to a call of a missing boy, identified as Fa’Shawn Johnson, at about 11:52 p.m. Tuesday. His family said they had not seen him for about three hours, which is very unusual.

Police said he left his house on the 900 block of 9th Avenue on his bike at about 9 p.m. and had not been found as of 4 a.m. Authorities announced at about 7:30 a.m. that Johnson had been found safe and was located just a few blocks from his home. The South St. Paul Police Department wished to thank those who were involved in the search to find him.
