Messersmith To Launch New Minn. Music Series

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Minneapolis singer-songwriter Jeremy Messersmith is launching a new Minnesota music series.

Hennepin Theatre Trust says Messersmith will launch the New Century Sessions. The series is aimed at giving artists a chance not only to play but also share the evolution of their work.

The series will run at the Trust's New Century Theatre in downtown Minneapolis.

A concert featuring Messersmith is set for 7 p.m. on Sept. 21. Twin Cities band Cjell Cruze opens.

Tickets go on sale at 8 a.m. Friday, Aug. 30, online, by phone or in person at the New Century Theatre Box Office.

The New Century Sessions will showcase six performances, including the Messersmith concert.
