MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Authorities in northern Minnesota are looking for a suspect after the City Hall and library in McKinley were burglarized on Sunday.

The St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office said the incident happened sometime early Sunday morning. Authorities said cash, computers, wireless equipment and books were stolen from the McKinley City Hall and Library after several windows were broken to gain entry.

With the help of citizens, authorities said they identified a suspect and executed a search warrant at a nearby home. At the residence they recovered all of the stolen items except the money. Authorities said they are still looking for the suspect.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call the St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office.
