Fire Damages Blaine Home, No Injuries

BLAINE, Minn. (WCCO) – Authorities said one person got out safely after a home in the north Twin Cities metro caught fire early Monday morning.

Crews were called to the 9700 block of 6th Street NE is Blaine at about 1:15 a.m. When they arrived, the fire appeared to have started in the garage of the home and caused significant damage to a car inside. Authorities said one woman was inside the home sleeping when the fire started, but she made it out safely.

Fire officials said they were able to contain the fire before it got too far inside the home. Nobody was injured and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
