MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — The man who was killed in a St. Paul shooting Sunday morning has been identified, the St. Paul police announced.

Police say they were called to the 1400 block of York Avenue after 3 a.m. Sunday, on a report of shots fired. When they arrived, they found a man with a gunshot wound.

The victim, identified as 50-year-old Jeffery Thomas Elling of St. Paul, died at the scene.

Investigators arrested another man at the scene of the shooting, without incident. He was identified as 19-year-old Aloeng Vang, of St. Paul.

Police say they aren’t looking for any other suspects in this case.

Details surrounding the shooting have not been released. A case against Vang will be presented to the Ramsey County Attorney’s Office for possible criminal charges.
