MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Officials in southwestern Minnesota are searching for a 15-year-old girl who reportedly walked barefoot into cornfield Wednesday morning.

The Redwood County Sheriff’s Office said Paulina Leach’s parents reported her missing at around 8:30 a.m. after she walked away from their home in Underwood Township.

Leach is described as Hispanic, 5-feet tall, 100-pounds with black hair. She’s believed to be wearing a green plaid skirt, a white sleeveless shirt and glasses, a press release said.

Authorities are searching the cornfield, which is located in section 27 of Underwood Township, a little more than 5 miles west of Vesta.

If you have any information on the incident, call the sheriff’s office at 507-637-4036.
