MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – At least one person was killed Monday night in northern Minnesota after an ATV apparently hit the trailer of a semi-truck in Itasca County, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

Authorities responded to the crash at about 10:34 p.m. Monday on Highway 65 at mile post 66 near Pengilly, which is south and west of Hibbing. According to the State Patrol, a semi-truck was headed northbound on Highway 65 and a 2008 Polaris Sportsman ATV was going southbound when it hit the trailer of the semi in the traffic lane.
