Mother, Daughter, Die In SW Minnesota Crash

JACKSON, Minn. (AP) — A mother and her adult daughter from Jackson have died in a crash in southwestern Minnesota.

The State Patrol identifies them as 64-year-old Norma K. Kanuch and 85-year-old Donna B. Kanuch.

The patrol says Norma Kanuch was the driver of a car that was eastbound on Jackson County Road 4 when it collided with a semi that was northbound on U.S. Highway 71, south of Jackson. It happened around 11 a.m. Friday.

The semi driver, 56-year-old Dwayne A. Meyer, of Spencer, Iowa, was taken to Sanford Hospital in Sioux Falls, S.D., with serious injuries.

The Patrol says alcohol was not a factor in the crash.
