ASPIRE Athlete Of The Week For Oct. 11: Xander Neve
CHANHASSEN, Minn. (WCCO) -- You'll get a kick out of this week's ASPIRE Athlete of the Week.
He does not one, but two fall sports.
Chanhassen's Xander Neve loves to play soccer and he loves to lead.
"This season has probably been one the best seasons in Chan (sic) Storm history," he said as his team ended the season 13-4. "We've had a lot of fun and won a lot of our games. We've come together."
He uses that same leg to kick field goals and extra points for the football team on Friday nights.
"Kicking is really fun. It's complete different animal from soccer," he said. "There's a lot more people watching and it all comes down to one kick."
He's a two-sports athlete and a student who keeps a lot on his plate.
"I volunteer at my church, and help with a harvest festival they have," he said.
