Police: 3 Juveniles Charged In Dodge County Golf Course Burglary

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Authorities said three juveniles are in custody after a burglary at a southeastern Minnesota golf course last weekend.

The Dodge County Sheriff's Office responded to an alarm call from the Zumbro Valley Golf Course at about 1:16 a.m. last Friday. Kasson Police and sheriff's deputies responded and when they arrived, they found that the club house to the course had been broken into and items were missing.

A suspicious vehicle was stopped while police were checking the area. The driver of the car was detained, and two occupants of the car attempted to flee the scene. Police found items in the car that were taken in the burglary.

Police said one of the juveniles who fled was later found in car that was not his, and the two were taken into custody. They were transported to the Juvenile Detention Center in Rochester. The third juvenile was taken into custody last Friday afternoon after a search warrant was executed.

The three juveniles were charged Monday in Dodge County District Court with felony second-degree burglary and misdemeanor theft. Authorities said the case is still under investigation.
