MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — The track list for the hottest CD of the year that gives back in the biggest way has been announced. And this year, it’s twice as big.

The Cities 97 Sampler, vol. 25, will go on sale at 8 a.m. exclusively at area Target stores on Thursday, Nov. 21. This year’s Sampler is two discs, featuring 33 tracks recorded live in Cities 97’s Studio C or in concert.

About 40,000 copies of the CD will be available for $32.97.

As always, one hundred percent of the proceeds go to Minnesota charities. If the Sampler sells out, nearly $1.24 million will be raised.

In previous years, recipients of the proceeds have included Angel Foundation, the Animal Humane Society, Bridging, Bryan McDonough Military Heroes Foundation, Emergency Food Shelf Network, Miracles of Mitch Foundation, Open Arms of Minnesota, PACER Center, Rock The Cause, Special Olympics Minnesota, and Tubman.
