ST. PAUL, Minn. (WCCO) – Authorities said a suspected drunk driver is in custody after crashing into an apartment building in St. Paul Tuesday night.

St. Paul Police responded to a report of an accident at an apartment on the 2100 block of Wilson Avenue sometime before 10 p.m. When authorities arrived, a vehicle had crashed into the building. Authorities didn’t say how much damage the building sustained as a result of the accident, but a man was taken into custody at the scene on suspicion of DWI.

St. Paul Police identified the driver Wednesday morning as 35-year-old Timothy Sanford.

Authorities said there were no injuries in the crash, Sanford is in the Ramsey County Jail and the accident is still under investigation.
