Minn. High School Hockey Faceoff Set For Jan. 11

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Ten Minnesota high school teams will compete in the High School Hockey Faceoff at TCF Bank Stadium next month.

The five-game competition will be held Jan. 11 as part of the Hockey City Classic Winter Festival.

The faceoff opens with a matchup of top-10 girls teams as Eden Prairie takes on Minnetonka at 10 a.m.

Four boys games follow — Benilde-St. Margaret’s vs. Minnetonka, Lakeville South vs. Bloomington Jefferson, White Bear Lake vs. Cretin-Derham Hall and Eagan vs. Eastview.

The High School Hockey Faceoff is organized by Chicago-based sports and entertainment marketing agency Intersport, in partnership with the University of Minnesota.
