'U' Student Tracks Stolen Laptop, Man Arrested

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A 20-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with one of the robberies near the University of Minnesota campus.

Myron Jovan Richardson-Rivers, of Crystal, is a suspect in a robbery last month. He's currently behind held at the Hennepin County Jail.

Richardson-Rivers assaulted a student and stole his laptop valued at $2,000 in the Marcy-Holmes neighborhood in November, according to the criminal complaint.

The victim said he passed out during the attack, and when he came to, he found his backpack and wallet had also been stolen, along with his credit cards.

The student used a tracking feature on his laptop, which eventually lead police to the suspect.
