MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – If you’re looking to something to do this weekend with your favorite pet, the St. Paul RiverCentre is the place to be.

The RiverCentre is hosting the annual Land O’Lakes Kennel Club Dog Show, starting Friday in downtown St. Paul. More than 2,000 dogs are expected to be in attendance and will compete for various awards.

Carol Langer with the American Kennel Club said there will be many different breeds of dogs on display. Events go on Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. with all different types of dogs on three different floors. All dogs competing have been pre-entered and registered with the American Kennel Club.

The competition will feature 13 different rings with a judge in each ring until they bring it down to a best-in-show.
