Embarrass Residents Warm Up In Hell's Kitchen

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) - A downtown Minneapolis restaurant decided to do something nice for a community that's feeling the cold even worse than the Twin Cities.

Hell's Kitchen offered free brunch and Bloody Mary's Saturday for any residents from Embarrass, Minn.

The restaurant decided on the promotion because temperatures in Embarrass are reaching the same level as those registered by the Curiosity rover on Mars.

Embarrass resident Jerry Meier says his daughter, who lives in the metro, clued him in on the deal.

"Plenty cold when we left," Meier said. "It had been 47 degrees below zero just a couple days ago."

Angel Food Bakery, located above the restaurant, also provided hot cocoa and hand-made toasted marshmallows to help warm the visitors up on their four-hour drive home.
