Walter Mondale Recovering After Heart Surgery At Mayo

ST. PAUL, Minn. (WCCO) — Former vice president Walter Mondale is recovering after undergoing heart surgery at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester.

Officials said that Mondale was resting comfortably and was expected to make a full recovery.

The ex-vice president and former U.S. Senator underwent the surgery just days after memorial services were held for his wife Joan Mondale, who died on Feb. 3.
