MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Officials in the southeastern Minnesota town of Hammond said Friday the city has declared a water emergency due to freezing pipes.

Hammond is located just north of Rochester, about 90 minutes south and east of Minneapolis. City officials said they are asking residents to leave their water running due to frozen pipes.

It’s not known how long the water emergency will last.
