MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – The University of Minnesota announced Monday it will host a pro day workout for athletes getting ready for the NFL Draft in May.
The event will be held March 3 at the Gibson-Nagurski Football Complex, where the Gophers football team practices during its season. Coaches and representatives from several NFL teams will be on hand to watch players who are hoping to get chosen in the NFL Draft, which starts May 8.
Among the athletes expected to attend include former Gophers Jeremy Baltazar, Jake Filkins, Ra’Shede Hageman, Aaron Hill, Roland Johnson, James Manuel, Martez Shabazz and Brock Vereen. The session will begin at 8 a.m., but is closed to the general public.
Hageman is currently at the NFL Combine and experts are projecting him to be a first-round draft pick.
