MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — A 38-year-old St. Paul man was seriously injured after the SUV he was driving went off a ramp and crashed on top of another SUV Saturday night, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

The state patrol says shortly after 8:30 p.m. a 1998 Ford Explorer was traveling on the ramp from 5th Street to westbound Interstate 94 in St. Paul. Then, the SUV went off the ramp and landed on a 2002 Kia Sportage, which was traveling under the bridge.

The driver of the Ford, Eric Fuentes, was seriously injured.

The driver of the Kia, 37-year-old Jennifer Beardsley of St. Paul, suffered non-life threatening injuries.

Factors that lead to this incident are unknown at this time.
