Girl Found Dead After Hay Bale Fire

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A 10-year-old girl has been found dead after a hay bale fire Thursday night in southwestern Minnesota.

The fired happened at a farm west of Adrian, Minn., around 7 p.m. Once the fire was out, firefighters took apart the round hay bales and found Perry Heideman's body lying among them.

The Nobles County Sheriff told the Daily Globe of Worthington that Heideman's family had noticed she was missing.

They searched the property, but didn't find anything.

Authorities do not know what caused the fire.
