MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — A 51-year-old Minneapolis man who was struck by an SUV in St. Paul Saturday morning has been identified.

St. Paul Police say David Wuest was biking down Summit Avenue when an SUV struck him as he crossed Snelling Avenue. The driver called 911.

Investigators say it’s unclear who was at fault. The driver was not arrested.

Wuest was not wearing a helmet and required surgery. He’s currently in critical condition.

Police continue to investigate.
