MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — The St. Croix County Sheriff’s Office says a 38-year-old Baldwin, Wis. woman was found dead after a one-vehicle crash early Sunday morning.

At 5:03 a.m., the sheriff’s office responded to the crash at the intersection of 117th Avenue and 207th Street in Hammond Township, which is near Pine Lake, Wis.

Upon arrival, the car was unoccupied, so an extensive search by multiple agencies was conducted. The victim’s body was later found in Pine Lake.

The victim is identified as Kristelle Marie Wolle. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Wolle’s body was taken to the Ramsey County Medical Examiner’s Office in St. Paul for an autopsy.

The incident remains under investigation.
