Woman Killed In Lakeland Fire Identified

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — A 50-year-old woman who was killed in a Lakeland, Minn. house fire has been identified and foul play is not suspected.

On Saturday, crews were called to the 1200 block of Rivercrest Road just before 2 a.m., according to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office. Firefighters extinguished the blaze, but found a body in the home.

The Ramsey County Medical Examiner’s Office took custody of the body and identified the victim as Nicole Ann Ritzer. Her cause of death has still not been determined.

The cause of the fire is undetermined, but investigators do not suspect foul play.
