2 Hospitalized After House Fire in Eden Prairie
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Authorities said two people were taken to the hospital for smoke inhalation after a house fire in the west Twin Cities metro early Wednesday morning.
Crews were called to an eight-plex on the 14000 block Bedford Drive at about 2:20 a.m. in Eden Prairie on a report of a fire. Residents at the scene woke up smelling smoke in their bedroom and called 911. Authorities said it appears the fire started in the bedroom, but it appears to be accidental.
Two people were taken to the hospital with smoke inhalation, but they are expected to be okay. It's not clear how badly the residence was damaged, and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
