Timberwolves Head To NBA Draft Lottery Next Week

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – After finishing the 2013-14 regular season with a 40-42 record and missing the NBA Playoffs again this season, the Minnesota Timberwolves are heading to the NBA Draft Lottery next week in New York City.

The lottery will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 20 at the Disney/ABC Times Square Studios and be televised on ESPN. The Timberwolves, who are still searching for their next head coach, will be represented at the lottery by General Manager Milt Newton. The Timberwolves are currently slotted with the No. 13 overall pick and have a slightly more than two percent chance of getting a top-three pick.

The Timberwolves will also have three picks in the second round of the NBA Draft, which will take place on Thursday, June 26, at the Barclays Center in New York.
